The Spider-Man Homecoming is a whole new kind of Spider-Man. It’s not about his physical origin, it’s about his mental one. The teaser poster hammers that point as well.
Here’s the full reveal on Twitter.
The tagline is “Homework can wait. The city can’t”.
Obviously, it’s a pretty image. The colors and city simply look great. You also get the sense of Spider-Man as a character. He’s a kid wearing a school uniform. There are two parts of him, the human and the hero.
The New York skyline stretches out behind him with Avengers Tower looming large.
The upcoming Sony/Marvel picture shows Peter Parker (Tom Holland) back in high school, after joining Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) in Germany for the events of Captain America: Civil War. Holland and Downey are both reprising their roles for Homecoming, and they’re joined by Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, and Tony Revolori.
Heroic Hollywood found this international poster for the film. Same basic idea: New York, Spider-Man, Avengers Tower.
Spider-Man Homecoming opens on July 7.
